Note the 2 different tabs (or labels):
1. Label with the inscription 'MAHAN ATMAN' which in Sanskrit means 'GREAT SOUL'. These words were combined to form 'MAHATMA' by the Indian Poet and Nobel Laureate, Rabindranath Tagore, and are now synonymous with Gandhiji.
2. Label with the smaller image of the Gandhiji on it.
This mini sheetlet has 9 Gandhi stamps and different types of tabs/labels are seen attached to the stamps. They have different inscriptions, as follows (from top left clockwise row by row):
1. MAXATMA FAHN on top and Karamchand on left.
2. Small image of Gandhiji on top.
3. 1869-1948 on top and Mahan Atman on right.
4. Gandhi Mohandas on right.
5. No label.
6. Karamchand on right and Gandhi Mohandas on bottom.
7. Mahan Atman on left and Mahan Atman Gandhi on bottom.
8. Small image of Gandhiji on bottom.
9. Karamchand on right and Mohandas Karamchand on bottom.
This is an example of a very rare use of the words MAHAN ATMAN, MOHANDAS and KARAMCHAND, on Gandhiji stamps.
